Installation
- Wipe underside of cap and tops of dolly ends with 70% rubbing alcohol.
- Recommended adhesive is Super Glue Gel – with a drop of glue every 1 inch or less, then pressing the cap down evenly on to the dolly timber for at least 30 seconds.
- Minimum use of 3 or 4 staples each side, around the bumper edges of the caps is all that’s required in order to keep that caps tight onto the dolly and prevent flopping.
- Super Glue Gel is available at dollar type stores in a 2-pack for $1. Enough to do one set.
- If you are replacing multiple caps we recommend rubberized super glue gel available online such as ebay for around $9.00 per ounce, enough to fuse 40 caps or so.
- We are suggesting gluing the caps in addition to staples, since we’ve found some movers in the field treat the sure-grip caps as the cheap slippery plastic gray or blue caps most all dollies come with supplied by the majority of moving equipment supply companies in the USA, such as New Heaven or CDS Moving Equipment Etc.
- Sure-Grip caps grip hold so well, items cannot be slid across the dolly top.
- The Sure-Grip caps are 100% pure SB rubber and are designed to grip the load only. Any attempt to use extreme pushing or brute force while the dolly is stationary or against a curb for example, could result in the rubber tearing if it is not glued on the underside. As long as the dolly is unencumbered and the casters are free to move, the Sure-Grip cap will grip tightly under any amount of weight including appliances or grand pianos for example. Up and down curbs, stairs, ramps and thresholds.
- The caps will hold tightly even if a dolly is inverted past 45°. It will not slip even when wet.
